New venue for art
Vino Locale, a new European-style wine bar specializing in local wine, food and art, presents work by Judy Gittelsohn as its first exhibit. The venue is at 431 Kipling St., Palo Alto.
Gittelsohn is showing new abstract and figurative paintings that "stretch the mind with interpretations of the ordinary." She has been exhibiting her work in the Bay Area for more than 30 years. At Art for Well Beings, she encourages artists with developmental disabilities.
She also hosts a cable TV program called "Art For Well Beings." Each program explores an artist, a painting and a technique, bringing humor along with expertise. You can check it out at http://blip.tv/artforwellbeings
A reception for the artist will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. The show at Vino Locale will be on view through Dec. 31. Call 650-328-0450.
