The Magic Flute for Familes

The Magic Flute for Families —the Movie!

Presented by San Francisco Opera

Endlessly inventive, charmingly fantastical and utterly unique, Mozart’s final opera is a profound yet lighthearted tale of romantic love, spiritual transcendence and the beguiling art of birdcatching. It is the charming story of Prince Tamino and bird catcher Papageno’s journey to rescue Pamina, a beautiful princess who has been kidnapped by the magician Sarastro.

This one-hour movie, sung in English, is a perfect way for children to learn about the magic of opera.
