Family and Children’s Services Announces a New CEO
The nonprofit organization Family and Children's Services announced CFO Diana Neiman will step up and become the organization's new CEO.

, which has offices in Palo Alto, has announced that the organization’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Diana Neiman, will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the nonprofit.
Family & Children Services has been providing counseling, caring, and support to children, youth, and adults in Silicon Valley, particularly those who might not otherwise be able to afford care, since 1948. The organization helps children and adults cope with depression, addiction, and chronic mental or physical illness; aids families in overcoming domestic violence and child abuse; and counsels and assists our community’s veterans, LGBTQ youth, and young people aged 16 to 21 as they emerge from the foster care system into independence.
Neiman has more than 20 years of management experience in corporate and nonprofit settings, having worked in strategic and financial roles at companies like Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems and Apple. In addition, Neiman was a founding board member of the highly successful in Los Altos, and served as treasurer of the Bullis-Purissima Elementary School Foundation for three years.

“After I was introduced to Family & Children Services, I was impressed to learn just how many critical issues affecting individuals and families are addressed by the agency. That is compelling,” Neiman said, of when she first joined the company as CFO in November. “Once I joined the agency, I observed the talented and dedicated staff and their commitment to improving the lives of our clients. That is inspiring. I am honored to work with people who are making such a difference in our local community.”
Family & Children Services has offices in Palo Alto and San Jose, and provides services on-site at dozens of community locations, including schools, childcare centers, veterans’ centers, health clinics, courthouses and community centers.
