Flight To Paris Returns To Bay Area After Mechanical Issue

BAY AREA, CA –A flight leaving San Francisco International Airport Monday afternoon returned to the airport several hours later due to a mechanical issue, an airport duty manager said.

United Airlines Flight 990 departed SFO for Paris, France, around 3:30 p.m., but returned around 6:15 p.m. due to a mechanical issue.

Around 7 p.m. airport personnel said crews were swapping out the aircraft in an effort to get passengers back on their way to Paris.
