Forest Avenue Closed In Palo Alto For 3 Weeks
Palo Alto police say a section of the roadway is closed to accommodate the department's communications center.

PALO ALTO, CA — A section of Forest Avenue in Palo Alto is closed for the next three weeks to accommodate a temporary relocation of Palo Alto Police Department's Communications Center from the basement of City Hall to the city's 40-foot-long mobile emergency operations unit.
Technology upgrades and facility improvements are taking place at the city's Communications Center, which handles all 911 calls and provides 24-hour dispatch services for police, fire, utilities, public works and animal control.
During this time, the 200 block of Forest — between Bryant and Ramona streets — will remain closed to though traffic during this time, although the sidewalks along both sides of the street will remain open, Palo Alto police advised.
