Hear A Loud 'BOOM' Last Night?
BREAKING: Sheriff's Office explains possible origin of explosive sound near Woodside Road.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – San Mateo County Sheriff's deputies responded Sunday at 9 p.m. to the area of Woodside and Moore roads after numerous calls came in from concerned citizens reporting "a large explosion."
Investigators determined the item that exploded was a very large firework, possibly homemade, and it appears to be an isolated incident, the agency said.
