Hearing On Palo Alto Newell Bridge Replacement To Take Place Virtually

Palo Alto and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) have completed the review of comments on the environmental analysis received during the 60-day Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Assessment (DRAFT EIR/EA) circulation period for the Newell Road Bridge Replacement project. The Final EIR and Appendices are available on the project webpage Cityofpaloalto.org/Newell, and a direct link to the Final EIR/EA is available here: Final EIR/EA.

This item will be considered by the Architectural Review Board (ARB) at a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 8:30 am. Following the ARB’s recommendation, City Council will issue a decision on the Project and Certify the Final Environmental Impact Report. This item is tentatively scheduled to be heard by Council in June. During this time, Caltrans will also make a NEPA determination.
