SANTA CLARA - A 21-year-old man suspected of DUI crashed into a light pole and a Santa Clara home Thursday night, injuring one resident, a police spokesman said Friday.

The BMW continued heading north and struck a light pole, which fell down and went through the window of the home, investigators said.
A man inside the residence was struck by flying glass that left him with a 1- to 2-inch laceration on his side, and was treated at the scene.
Police say a 5-year-old boy was also in the residence, but wasn't injured.
The vehicle went through a fence and crashed into the front of the home.
Cortezcruz ran away, but was quickly arrested a few blocks away, Moreno said. His passenger was also found in the area and arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
