BREAKING: Additional charges piled up by the time the 24-year-old was booked into jail, according to the Palo Alto police.

PALO ALTO, CA – A 24-year-old man was arrested on numerous charges in Palo Alto last week after a citizen called to report allegedly seeing him using a power tool to cut locks from a bicycle in the Caltrain lot, according to police.

The Palo Alto Police Department responded Nov. 7 at 12:52 p.m. to the bike racks in the parking lot near Alma Street and Lytton Avenue where the suspect was using a battery-powered circular saw to remove two Kryptonite locks from an expensive bicycle, police said.

The bike, a Cannondale CAAD12 worth roughly $1,200, was released to its owner, a man in his 20s, police said.
