Man Shot Dead This Morning In East Palo Alto
Police are investigating the Wisteria Drive incident.

Police this morning are investigating a shooting in East Palo Alto that left a man dead.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Wisteria Drive to a report of shots fired and located a 34-year-old East Palo Alto resident on the ground suffering from several gunshot wounds to his torso, police said. The victim received medical treatment at the scene, but he died from his injuries.
The preliminary investigation into the shooting revealed an unknown suspect approached the victim, and the two had a brief conversation before the suspect opened fire, police said.

The suspect fled the area on foot after shooting the victim, police said. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call East Palo Alto police at (650) 409-6792 or (650) 853-8477.
