Updated: Missing Palo Alto Man Found

Gonzalo Mazuera was last seen at his home in the 500 block of Webster Street around 3:00 a.m., police said.

Updated: Police have located the missing man. From the Palo Alto Police Department: "Mr. Mazuera has been found safe by a resident who saw this post and called us. He was located several blocks away and is in good health. Thank you very much for your help!"

PALO ALTO, CA — A 68-year-old Palo Alto man who went missing earlier this morning is being sought, the Palo Alto Police Department announced in a news release.

Gonzalo Mazuera was last seen at his home in the 500 block of Webster Street around 3:00 a.m., police said.

Mazuera is in good physical health but can become disoriented and confused, police said. He is about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen a blue sweatshirt, and shorts.

Mazuera is known to frequent downtown Palo Alto, but has been located in prior similar incidents when he leaves home as far as East Bayshore Road. He wears an identification bracelet on his wrist with the names and phone numbers of his family members.

Anyone who sees Mazuera or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 and keep him under observation until officers arrive to help him.
