Need funding for your startup? It could be out-of-this-world
Grants are available to conduct research on the International Space Station (ISS).
Now that NASA has retired the space shuttle, it’s selected the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) to be the sole manager of the International Space Station U.S. National Laboratory.
CASIS Communications Manager Patrick O’Neill manned a booth at Engage Expand in San Francisco last weekend, handing out mission patches and explaining to attendees that SpaceX will be used to blast experiments into orbit.

O’Neill encouraged entrepreneurs to apply for grants to fund research in space. “We can hook you up with angel investors who can get that research funded.”
Current initiatives include non-embryonic stem cell research and protein crystallization in microgravity.
