Neighbor Busts Palo Alto Man For Alleged Prowling At Empty House
The incident was on Melville Avenue.

A 30-year-old man allegedly attempted to hop over a fence into a backyard at an empty home and was caught by an alert neighbor in Palo Alto on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Simon Arroyo, a Palo Alto resident, was arrested on suspicion of prowling and being under the influence of a narcotic, police said.
Around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a report from a resident in the 600 block of Melville Avenue of a stranger climbing into her neighbor’s backyard, police said.

Arriving officers responded and detained the suspect, later identified as Arroyo, without incident, according to police. Arroyo was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
