Oshman Family JCC celebrates launch of OFJCC School for the Performing Arts with Open House this Sunday in Palo Alto

Families with kids and teens get behind-the-scenes look at arts education hub, 10am-1pm, May 3rd

Families with kids and teens who enjoy singing, dancing, acting, performing, playing instruments, or who might like to explore their inner rock star are invited to visit the Oshman Family JCC on Sunday, May 3 for a free open house to discover the offerings of OFJCC School for the Performing Arts.

Food, fun, and music will be offered as attendees get the opportunity to peek behind-the-scenes at this innovative hub that will inspire creativity in the next generation, with diverse classes beginning in September. The celebration will take place from 10am to 1pm, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Oshman Family JCC Room G106, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto.

Faculty will be on hand to provide brief descriptions of their classes and teaching styles. Children will have the opportunity to learn about instruments and take part in mini-workshops with fun and engaging exercises, games, improvisational drills and dances. Refreshments will be served.

Classes offered during the Fall 2015 semester will include, drama, musical theater, improvisation, choir, song-writing, rock band, piano, percussion, dance, guitar, and stage make up. The OFJCC School for the Performing Arts aims to provide an arts platform that will engage and ignite the passions of students by means of unique and interactive experiences.
