PALEOVENTURES holds outdoor-offsite training for Collaborative Practice: Silicon Valley
Businesses and organizations find the wilderness-based offsites result in improved team building, leadership, and problem-solving.
PALEOVENTURES, a San Francisco Bay Area company providing wilderness-based offsites that combine outdoor skills, team participation exercises, and work related discussions, conducted an offsite training on Friday, Feb. 13 for Collaborative Practice: Silicon Valley, a group of attorneys, therapists, and financial planners. The Collaborative Practice members work in teams helping families move through the complexities of divorce, with the goal of preserving family relationships.
During the PALEOVENTURES training, held in Half Moon Bay, the group engaged in an all-day outdoor training that included learning wilderness skills, such as fire building using a compass and plant identification. In addition, team members built relationships, practiced effective team behaviors and discussed how they might work together even more effectively for their clients.
“The outdoor offsite training resulted in improved communication and built problem-solving skills essential to Collaborative Practice success,” says Trudy Triner, PALEOVENTURES co-founder and organizational development expert. “Since the members of Collaborative Practice: Silicon Valley don’t all regularly work together, and some members are quite new, they chose to participate in the offsite training to increase their understanding of each others’ strengths, energize their team and to build stronger relationships.”
