Palo Alto Expands Cooling Center Hours Due To Poor Air Quality
The city's cooling center will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

PALO ALTO – Palo Alto officials announced expanded hours at the city’s cooling center due to poor air quality from the area wildfires.
The city’s cooling center will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Those with respiratory issues or other health concerns are welcome to shelter at the Mitchell Park Community Center in the El Palo Alto Room. The community center is located at 3700 Middlefield Road.

The Cooling Center is following COVID-19 guidance and safety standards. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
