Palo Alto Towing Abandoned Vehicles

Has an old junker been abandoned on your block? Here's how to get rid of the eyesore.

 

Palo Alto is undeniably an upscale community—and residents typically go out of their way to keep their homes and neighborhoods looking first rate.

But there always seems to be one Cousin Eddie lurking out there. You remember Cousin Eddie from the National Lampoon movies—the one who drives a decades-old, smoke-belching motor home with expired registration tags, then parks it somewhere on your daily drive to-and-from home.

The City of Palo Alto is doing its part to get rid of abandoned vehicles, towing nine last week. If you’d like to report a vehicle, phone 650-329-2258. The number is operational 24-hours a day. Vehicles will be checked within three business days.
