Palo Alto Indecent Exposure, Elder Abuse Suspect Arrested

One of the alleged victims is in her 70s.

PALO ALTO, CA — A man accused of assaulting two women and exposing his genitals to them at a soccer complex was arrested, police said.

One of the alleged victims is in her 70s and the other in her 50s, police said.

Police arrested Fermin Anthony Aragon, 39 of Palo Alto, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse and making criminal threats (all felonies) and indecent exposure (a misdemeanor).

The alleged victims were waiting to use a restroom at Mayfield Soccer Complex at around 2 p.m. on Sunday when they were approached by Aragon, who was riding his bicycle in the area, police said.

Aragon initially directed verbal threats towards the women before throwing a baseball-sized rock at one of them and then pulling down his pants, exposing his genitals and touching himself, police said.

He left the scene after using a restroom.

Police responding to a report of the incident that included a suspect description located Aragon at the intersection of Curtner Avenue and El Camino Real.

Aragon was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
