Palo Alto Looks To Extend ‘Summer Streets: Report

PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto’s City Council is weighing the possibility of extending its “Summer Streets” program that allows outdoor dining through the rest of the year, Palo Alto Weekly reports.

The City Council will evaluate a proposal that would extend a program that closes off California and University avenues to cars to accommodate outdoor dining amid the coronavirus, the report said.

The proposal also includes a a plan to close off Ramona street to cars.

The program started in June on California Avenue and was extended to include University Avenue in July, the report said.
