Palo Alto Middle School Student Tests For Coronavirus: Report

PALO ALTO, CA — A Palo Alto middle school student has tested positive for the new coronavirus, Palo Alto Weekly reports.

The Fletcher Middle School student last attended the school on Wednesday, March 11, the report said.

All Palo Alto Unified School District schools have been closed since Monday, March 16.

The district alerted all families and staff of the situation with a message that went out Tuesday morning, the report said.

"County health officials have signaled that we should expect the virus to continue spreading for a period of time across Santa Clara County,” the message said. “As promised, PAUSD will report all confirmed cases to our staff and families."
