Palo Alto Traffic Advisory: Expect Delays During Moonlight Run & Walk

Traffic will be delayed near the event Friday evening, according to police.

PALO ALTO, CA — With the annual Moonlight Run & Walk set to take place Friday evening, Oct. 6 at the Baylands, Palo Alto police advised of traffic delays during the evening commute on Embarcadero Road at East Bayshore Road. According to police, thousands of athletes are expected to participate in the 7 p.m. event, which starts at the Baylands Athletic Center, 1900 Geng Road, and includes a 5K walk, 5K run and 10K run.

"Our officers will be there to provide traffic control for the safety of the public and the participants," police said.

The Moonlight Run & Walk is put on by the city of Palo Alto, Palo Alto Weekly and Palo Alto Online, and benefits local nonprofits that serve children and families.
