Palo Alto Venture Firm Bets Big On New Data Storage Tech Startup
Observe Inc. announced Monday that it has raised the funds for its data observability firm from Palo Alto-based Sutter Hill Ventures.
SAN MATEO, CA – A San Mateo startup focused on one of the newest segments of the cloud data storage technology business has raised $35 million from one of the oldest venture capital firms.
Observe Inc. announced Monday that it has raised the funds for its data observability firm from Palo Alto-based Sutter Hill Ventures.
Observe, which was founded in 2017, specializes in the development of technology capable of discerning actionable insights from observed data.

Sutter Hill Ventures has been in operation since 1964.
"Finding and resolving issues in today's modern distributed applications can be a nightmare,” Observe CEO Jeremy Burton said in a statement describe the company’s mission.

“The tools SRE teams are using were designed for a bygone era – they operate on silos of data and can't see the big picture.
“Observe's unique approach brings all this data together and relates it, so users always have context for the problem they are looking at. Observe makes troubleshooting an order of magnitude faster and, by using a modern cloud architecture, it's an order of magnitude cheaper as well."
