Palo Alto Water Main Breaks, Several Homes Affected
Seven homes were affected Wednesday morning by a water main break in Palo Alto, a spokeswoman for Palo Alto Utilities said.

PALO ALTO, CA -- Seven homes were affected Wednesday morning by a water main break in Palo Alto, a spokeswoman for Palo Alto Utilities said.
Crews had responded by 7:30 a.m. to a break in a 12-inch main near Henry M. Gunn High School and the intersection of Los Robles Avenue and Rincon Circle, spokeswoman Catherine Elvert said.
Update: The water main break was caused by a material failure. 7 homes are affected, estimated restoration time is 1:30 pm.

Crews first thought the high school was affected, but as of about 10:45 a.m. it was not, according to Elvert and a school staff member.
