MENLO PARK — A smoky grass fire Friday afternoon prompted Menlo Park police to issue a health advisory for the area of Bayfront Expressway between Willow Road and University Avenue.

The Almanac reports that the blaze was first reported at around 11:15 a.m. and involved an homeless encampment.

Two people escaped the blaze according to the report.
The blaze isn't threatening any structures, according to an alert from police about 1 p.m. Firefighters were at the scene.
