Peninsula Woman, 29, Dies From Hit-and-Run Injuries

BREAKING: Police in San Bruno are hoping there are witnesses to the collision that reportedly involved a white SUV.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A 29-year-old woman struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in San Bruno last week has been identified by the San Francisco medical examiner's office as Carly Flynn.

Flynn, a San Bruno resident, was hit at 5:33 p.m. on Dec. 19 at the intersection of San Bruno and Cherry avenues. She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where she succumbed to her critical injuries two days later, according to San Bruno Police Det. Sgt. Scott Luciano.

Flynn was in a crosswalk as she attempted to cross San Bruno Avenue and was struck by a white mid-sized SUV, according to police.

"Investigators are currently following up on several investigative leads, including video surveillance footage from the area," Luciano said Thursday in a news release. "We are aware that several other vehicles were present in the intersection at the time the collision occurred and investigators are in the process of identifying and contacting these drivers and witnesses."

San Bruno police are asking anyone with additional information about the fatal hit-and-run crash to call (650) 616-7100.
