Police Investigate Shooting Death in Oceanside

A man was found dead with a gunshot wound in an Oceanside residence today.

Lt. Leonard Cosby of the Oceanside Police Department said officers responded to shots fired in 500 block of Gold Drive, at 4:26 a.m.

They found the victim, 27. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives were called and remained on scene to investigate all morning.
