Police Seek Suspects In Palo Alto Home Burglary

Police say three suspects are at large who are accused of burglarizing a Palo Alto home while its residents were asleep Saturday night.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police are trying to identify three suspects who are accused of burglarizing a Palo Alto home Saturday night, while its residents were asleep upstairs.

Police received a report around 9:57 p.m. Saturday for a burglary that just occurred on the 1000 block of Cerrito Way. Police determined that a couple in their fifties were sleeping in their home when the husband was woken up after hearing someone running. He went downstairs and found that a glass door had been smashed.

The accused burglars stole personal belongings and cash, the Palo Alto Police Department said in a release. Witnesses who were walking past the home saw three people holding bags run away and jump into a car. The suspects fled east on Los Robles Avenue.

According to witnesses, the suspects were three men in their twenties, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black baggy pants. All were about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and at least one was a white man. The suspect car is a white, newer model Toyota sedan.
