Saturday Morning Collision In Palo Alto Kills Man
Police are investigating a collision Saturday morning in Palo Alto that killed a man.

PALO ALTO - Police are investigating a collision Saturday morning in Palo Alto that killed a man.
Dispatchers received a call at 7:30 a.m. of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 800 block of Embarcadero Road. Police and firefighters responded and found a man in his 80s unconscious and suffering from major injuries. The man was pronounced dead, according to police.
The East Palo Alto driver in his 20's escaped injury and cooperated with officers. A traffic accident reconstruction team is investigation the cause of the collision. Police said it does not appear drugs or alcohol played a part. The driver has been neither cited nor arrested.
