Stanford’s Keith Humphreys Named To Opioid Crisis Council

STANFORD, CA — A Stanford psychologist has been named to a newly formed scientific advisory council to address the opioid crisis.

Keith Humphreys was among seven nationally renowned experts named to the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts’ Scientific Advisory Council.

Humphreys currently serves as a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Stanford. He is also a member of the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute.

The council will advise the foundation’s board of directors and staff on the latest scientific trends and developments, grantmaking policy and strategy among other matters related to stemming the alarming increase in opioid addiction and overdoses impacting communities across the country.
