Tea Lover's Paradise Opens in Palo Alto
Hmm...Philz Coffee or DAVIDsTEA? So many choices in Palo Alto!

Palo Alto is now home to a contemporary tea shop, with over 150 varieties served up by well-informed, passionate staff who encourage browsers to sniff and explore the vast selection, including dozens of never-before-seen flavors of tea, from Coco-lemon Thai to Cranberry Pear, as well as top-of-the-line green, white, oolong, black, pu’erh, yerba maté, rooibos teas and herbal blends.
Canadian loose leaf tea retailer DAVIDsTEA offers all 150+ varieties in-store: as an iced tea, a fizzy sparking TeaPop, a fresh brewed cup-to-go, or purchased by weight as loose leaf tea. Since its founding six years ago, the company has opened 115 stores across Canada, venturing into the U.S. market in 2012 with shops in New York City, followed by West Coast locations in San Francisco and Burlingame. The Palo Alto store is located at 318 University Avenue (between Waverly and Bryant Streets).
DAVIDsTEA co-founder David Segal, who personally selected the Palo Alto locale, adds “We are excited to come to Palo Alto, home of innovation. I think we found the ideal home on University Avenue, and we are really looking forward to becoming a part of this community.”
