Saturday June 21, the Midtown Residents Association celebrated cultural diversity by hosting its 20th annual Multicultural Potluck and by offering activities for children. MRA invited all Midtown residents to come to Hoover to enjoy foods from different countries. In addition, Midtown restaurants and cafes provided samples of their favorite dishes.
At Hoover various dishes were presented, including BLT sandwiches, sushi, ice cream, cake, chips, dumplings, pizza, and fried rice. For the children, a “World Cup” soccer game was hosted under the theme of diversity. We
CaringNeighbors recruited kids and parents across Hoover to come join in on a 6 on 6 soccer game that lasted until 2:00pm. From what I can see, the kids and parents had a blast; I did as well, because I even joined in.
