Widespread Facebook Outage Reported In U.S., Mexico
Facebook went down for users across the United States, Mexico and elsewhere Thursday, according to reports.

SILICON VALLEY, CA — A widespread Facebook outage was experienced Thursday by users across the United States and Mexico, according to Downdetector.com. As of 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time, the website showed the popular social media site went down in North America, South America and some parts of Europe and Asia.
However, it was not immediately clear how many Facebook users in total were affected.
The outage also reportedly affected Instagram.

A spokesperson for Silicon Valley-based Facebook told Patch: "Earlier today, a technical issue caused some people to have trouble connecting to Facebook and Instagram. We resolved this issue for everyone, and we apologize for any inconvenience."
