Two trees toppled Tuesday morning due to heavy winds and storms hitting Palos Verdes, which caused traffic to slow.

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Two trees toppled Tuesday morning due to heavy winds and storms hitting Palos Verdes, which caused traffic to slow according to city officials.

The two trees blocked separate streets; the first being northbound Hawthorne Boulevard past Silver Spir Road heading toward Palos Verdes Drive North and the other being westbound Miraleste Drive after Nancy Road heading toward Palos Verdes Drive East.

Officials warned residents traveling to prepare for slow traffic and to consider using different routes.

Crews were working to clear both downed trees as of 9:01 a.m. according to the city.
