The madcap, Tony award-winning musical comedy “Thoroughly Modern Millie” comes to the Norris Theatre for seven performances, presented by the Norris Center’s acclaimed Education Department. The musical tells the story of Millie Dilmount, a high-spirited young woman who moves from small town Kansas to make a new, modern life in New York City during the Roaring Twenties. With dazzling tap numbers like “Forget About the Boy” and lush, romantic ballads such as “Jimmy,” the show has become an American musical theater favorite.
