Famed Playboy Mansion for Sale -- With a Serious Catch
The Playboy Mansion, once considered a $200 million teardown, is reportedly for sale.
Hugh Hefner’s Holmby Hills mansion is about to go on the market, but the estate comes with an aging playboy who would get to live inside it for the rest of his life, it was reported today.
The celebrity website TMZ.com reported that Playboy Enterprises hopes to sell the Holmby Hills house and its six acres for more than $200 million. But real estate agents in the area said it will probably sell for about half that.
The mansion, built in 1927, is considered a tear-down.

And the buyer would get the house subject to a “life estate” for Hefner, meaning he would get to live in it until he dies, TMZ reported. Hefner is 89 years old.
The sale would be the second recent seismic change in what’s left of the Playboy empire, after the magazine reportedly decided to stop running pictures of nude women.
