How Hot Will It Be In Palos Verdes This Weekend?

PALOS VERDES, CA – After a week full of high temperatures, wind advisories, red flag warnings, and more, will Palos Verdes see relief? All the special weather advisories that the National Weather Advisory had issued for the region were allowed to expire Wednesday. The last one was an excessive heat warning, which had been due to expire Tuesday but was extended to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

However, even though no heat warning is in effect, a ridge of high pressure aloft is keeping temperatures well above normal, forecasters said. By Monday, the region's heat wave will be over, according to forecasters. Here's a look at the weekend weather for Palos Verdes:

Today
Sunny, with a high near 80. South southeast wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tonight
Clear, with a low around 60. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Friday
Sunny, with a high near 78. Light and variable wind becoming west northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night
Clear, with a low around 59. West northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming light and variable in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Light and variable wind becoming west northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Sunny, with a high near 72.
