Human Femur Discovered On Shores Of RAT Beach

PALOS VERDES ESTATES, CA — A bone was located along the shoreline of RAT Beach last week the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department announced Wednesday.

According to PVEPD, officers were notified on Jan. 13 that a bone had washed ashore at the 300 block of Paseo Del Mar. Upon location of the bone, officers worked to transport the bone to the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

The Coroner determined the bone to be a human femur. No information was provided about the age or condition of the bone.

PVEPD and the Coroner are currently investigating the incident and said they are working toward identification.
