Little Change to Southland Gas Prices

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $4.399.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $4.399, its highest amount since July 24, 2008.

Following a decrease of two-tenths of a cent March 5 that ended a 27-day streak of rising prices, the average price has increased nine of the last 10 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.1 cents more than one week ago, 48.5 cents higher than a month ago and 42.8 cents greater than a year ago.

A six-day streak of increases to the Orange County average price ended today with an decrease of one-tenth of a cent to $4.38, 2.2 cents more than one week ago, 47.7 cents higher than a month ago and 42.6 cents greater than a year ago.
