LPGA Cancels Palos Verdes Golf Tournament Due To Unpaid Bills
The Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, scheduled to take place at Palos Verdes Golf Club in March, is canceled, the LPGA announced.
PALOS VERDES, CA — The LPGA has postponed the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship, originally scheduled to take place in Palos Verdes in March, due to bills left unpaid for the 2024 and 2025 events.
According to LPGA officials, the cancellation was unavoidable because a tournament underwriter "failed to fulfill any portion of its payment obligations."
Nelly Korda was the defending champion at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.

“We are deeply disappointed to announce this year’s Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship will not go forward in March,” said Interim LPGA Commissioner Liz Moore. "It is our intention to return to Palos Verdes in the future to host title sponsor, Fir Hills, once again alongside these great partners. We remain dedicated to bringing this event back to our schedule to honor the incredible legacy of Seri Pak, who has been a wonderful ambassador for the game and this event.”
Going forward, the LPGA will work with Seri Pak and tournament stakeholders to potentially reschedule the event once the matter is settled, officials said in a statement.
