Man Who Died In Rancho Palos Verdes House Fire Identified

The single-story fire killed the man and injured two others, one of which was a firefighter.

PALOS VERDES, CA – The man who was killed in a Rancho Palos Verdes house fire was identified by authorities Wednesday. Firefighters were sent to the single-story home in the 2000 block of Trudie Drive around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday extinguished the flames in about a half hour, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Craig Burns, 47, died at a hospital, the coroner's office reported. A woman in the house was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. A firefighter was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The house was damaged and the cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
