Police Search For Gunman Who Shot 18-Year-Old In Wilmington

The victim was walking down the street when an unknown number of suspects got out of a vehicle and attacked him, police said.

WILMINGTON, CA – Authorities asked for public help Sunday to identify whoever gunned down 18-year-old Daniel Zuniga in Wilmington. Zuniga was shot around 11:35 a.m. Friday, in the 300 block of North Gulf Avenue, according to police.

Zuniga was walking down the street when an unknown number of suspects got out of a dark-colored SUV and attacked him, police said. Zuniga was hit several times and his attacker then fled the scene in a vehicle.

Zuniga was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

A motive for the shooting was unknown. No suspect description was available.
