PV Students Take Top Spots at Cross Country Meet
Palos Verdes and Mira Costa take top honors at the first cross country meet of the Bay League season.

The boys and the Mira Costa High School girls varsity teams won their respective races Wednesday during the first cross country meet of the season for the Bay League at Redondo Union High School.
The Palos Verdes High School varsity boys won their race by a landslide, earning a perfect cross country score of 15 and leaving the competition far behind.

came in at a distant second with a score of 77 points, and West Torrance placed third with 82 points.
A very tight race for the varsity girls ended up with a tie-breaking decision in favor of the Lady Mustangs from Mira Costa, putting Redondo Union High School at a very close second.

Just three points shy of the leaders was Palos Verdes.

- 3rd place: West Torrance High School (82 points)
