PVPUSD Advanced Summer Internship Program Connects Students with Real-World Career Experiences

PALOS VERDES, CA — Eighty-two students from the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District recently completed the district’s 2026 Advanced Internship Program.

The six-week, project-based internship program places rising high school juniors and seniors in professional environments where they gain real-world experience and contribute to meaningful projects alongside industry experts.

“PVPUSD is committed to providing students with innovative and enriching learning experiences inside and outside the classroom,” said Superintendent Dr. Devin Serrano. “Our internship program exposes students to career options and professional networks before they graduate from high school.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of the Peninsula Education Foundation and our local business partners who help make this transformative program possible.”

Through a competitive application process, students are matched with employers based on their interests, skills and career goals. Students have the opportunity to participate in internships with organizations spanning technology, artificial intelligence, environmental science, healthcare,
education, government, business, hospitality and community service.
