Rancho Palos Verdes Man Arrested For Attempted Kidnapping

PALOS VERDES, CA – A Rancho Palos Verdes man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted kidnapping of a 13-year-old girl, according to sheriff's officials. The attempted abduction occurred Monday morning at a location near a school in that city. According to a deputy at the Lomita sheriff's station, the campus was temporarily locked down while the suspect was sought in the neighborhood.

A deputy said the man, who is in his 50s, will be booked on suspicion of attempted kidnapping. His name was not immediately released.
