Two-Story Home Catches Fire In Wilmington

Thirty-one firefighters were sent to the scene, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman said.

PALOS VERDES, CA – Firefighters knocked down a two-story house fire in Wilmington Monday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The flames inside the home at 1113 N. Island Ave. were reported at 2:50 p.m., fire department spokeswoman Amy Bastman said.

The department dispatched 31 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 22 minutes, Bastman said. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, Bastman added.
