Body Washed Ashore In San Pedro, Does It Belong To Missing Woman?

PALOS VERDES, CA – A body washed shore in the San Pedro area Thursday morning, and authorities are working to determine if it is that of a 26-year-old woman who went missing last weekend.

The body, described only as that of a female, was discovered about 7:45 a.m. near the 800 block of Paseo del Mar, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Haley Ora Downen was last seen about 5:15 p.m. Saturday on a shoreline trail between Royal Palms beach and the Trump National Golf Course near San Pedro, and officers who searched that area found personal property belonging to hrr, the LAPD reported.

Downen's grandmother told ABC7 that the woman was with her boyfriend around the time she was last seen.
