On Your Mark, Get Set, Go… 37th Annual Hills Are Alive 10K/5K

The 37th annual RHE "Hills Are Alive 10K/5K run/walk will be Saturday, August 11 at 8 am.

The Rolling Hills Estates Pepper Tree Foundation, in partnership with UCLA Health, is hosting the 37th annual “Hills Are Alive 10K/5K Run – 5K Walk” on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 8:00 am.

Participants will enjoy running or walking on soft-packed bridle trails throughout scenic Rolling Hills Estates. The race will start and finish at Ernie Howlett Park, 25851 Hawthorne Boulevard. 10k Runners have the opportunity to run through the Botanic Garden Loop Trail once again! All finishers receive a custom-designed finishers medal and Award Plaques will be awarded to the top Female and Male Winners for both the 10K and 5K events.

Register online at www.active.com. Forms can also be accessed online at www.HillsAreAliveRace.com.. The registration fee is $35 for participants who sign up in advance or $40 for those who sign up on race day (case or check only). Visit Village Runner, 1811-A Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach (310-375-2626) on Friday, August 10 from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. to pick up your race packet or late-register for the race.

The City’s trails, parks and open space continue to be improved and maintained through the use of race donations to the non-profit Pepper Tree Foundation.
