ā¢ Flag pole replacement (orovillemr.com) ā A local Eagle Scout is getting help from the Paradise Elks to replace the worn flagpole in front of the Paradise Police Department, a project the club calls much needed. The piece also invites residents to submit current photos of community events for the paperās weekly āSnapshotsā feature, with clear guidelines on what kinds of images are accepted.

ā¢ $200,000 in funding awarded as part of the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Grant Program (actionnewsnow.com) ā Paradise High School is among local schools receiving part of $200,000 from the Aaron Rodgers NorCal Fire Recovery Grant Program to support youth health and wellness. Administered by the North Valley Community Foundation, 29 grants across Butte County will fund outdoor education, sports, and wellness projects that benefit local students recovering from fire-impacted years. ā¢ Where There's Wildfire Smoke, There's Poor Mental Health (progressive-charlestown.com) ā Paradise residents are at the center of new research and on-the-ground healing efforts showing how repeated wildfire smoke exposure can damage the brain and worsen anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Local ecotherapy programs based near Paradise are helping survivors rebuild their relationship with fire and nature, even as scientists warn that increasingly smoky summers may strain already limited rural mental health resources.
