Every summer during the first week of August, youth and families in Pasadena look forward to BLOCK 9, a nine day series of fun and free place-making events hosted by Day One.
Block9 is youthinspired and led by Day One Youth Advocates. The goal of the annual place-making series is to help build community in Pasadena, one block at a time by bringing youth, families and neighbors together, and to create free events and activities that are family and youth friendly. This year Block9 takes place at Day One which will transform into an urban beach to offer an exciting line-up of FREE events and activities including Beach Volleyball and Soccer Tournaments, Bike-In Movie, Live Bands and Music, Healthy Food Demos, Food Trucks, Games, Hawaiian Luau & Dancers, Zumba, Yoga, Fitness, and Relaxation, Field Trips on the GoldLine and to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Beach Party!
