Pasadena Police Arrest 30 Gang Members, Seize 11 Firearms

PASADENA, CA -- An investigation by Pasadena police into several gang -related incidents during the past couple of months has yielded arrests and firearms, authorities said Saturday. Officers have arrested 30 gang members for various crimes, including ten felony drug violations, police said.

Officers have seized 11 firearms during that period, bringing the recoveries so far this year to 160.

The department is working toward a more robust deployment of officers in the community, city parks and business areas efforts including high-visibility policing, bicycle officers in neighborhoods and outreach at local hot spots, officials said.
